iQOO 13 India launch confirmed, set to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset

The 2024 will end in a few months and the brands are preparing to refresh their flagship phones to give people a better option. It is that time of the year when you can expect to see new flagship models from companies like Vivo and iQOO. The Vivo X200 series has already launched in China and will likely come to India later this year. Similarly, the iQOO 13 will debut in China at the end of October 2024 and then make it to the Indian shores. iQOO India CEO, Nipun Marya, has shared multiple teasers on X, confirming the India launch of the iQOO 13. Here is everything you need to know.
As of now, there is no India launch date for the iQOO 13, but the company is expected to confirm the same in a few weeks because it has started teasing some of its features. A report from Smartprix recently claimed that the iQOO 13 will come to India on December 3, but nothing is confirmed yet. This could turn out to be true because the iQOO 12 was also launched in early December.
The design of the iQOO 13 is already out. It looks similar to the iQOO 12 smartphone, with minor tweaks in the design part. At the rear panel, you will see the same square camera module having three sensors. But, the new version also has an LED strip around the module, which makes the device look a little more attractive. The functionality of the same is currently unknown, but it is likely to inform users about the notifications or calls.
Another change is the placement of LED flash. It is now positioned inside the rear camera module. The rest of the design language looks the same as the previous version. iQOO has unveiled the iQOO 13 in China in four colours, including green, silver, brown and white. The same colour models are also expected to come to India.
Qualcomm has launched its Snapdragon 8 Lite chipset and iQOO has confirmed on its social media channels that its next flagship phone will pack the same chip. It is also confirmed to feature a 6.82-inch 2K display, which will refresh at 144Hz. It is expected to run on the latest Android 15 OS out of the box. Under the hood, it will have a 6,1250mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging tech. Like always, you can expect to see the fast charger in the retail box of the iQOO 13.
It has dual speakers and a large-sized 1016H motor for haptics. The upcoming iQOO phone is also confirmed to have a heat dissipation system with multi-layer graphene and a 7K ultra-large VC heat spreader. At the moment, there is no official information on the camera part. The leaks claim that the iQOO 13 could house a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto shooter. For selfies, the phone might come with a 32-megapixel front camera.
